Hey Doll

Hey Doll

My name is Grace

I’m in my mid twenties, living in Victoria, BC with my husband & our dog.

Originally from Edmonton AB, I attended UofA, where I completed a BScRN. During my studies & clinical placements I found myself in desperate need of a creative outlet. I began an instagram account and started posting a little bit of everything from recipes to skincare. Eventually I began doing the same thing on TikTok. I have always enjoyed creating content albeit I have had difficulty staying consistent; I attribute this to not having a niche.

Now that I am no longer a student & have settled in a new town far away from all my people I have felt called to nurture the part of my soul that wants to create.

I’ve had the name “The Doll House” in my head for years, inspired my dog Dolly who I named in tribute of my late grandma Marie. I always knew The Doll House would be something I just never knew what.

One day, I began to write out my story and as I read it back it became obvious that making my home mine was the common thread that held me together through all the change in my life. I used to see the constant moving/change as a symptom of my indecisiveness but I have now adopted the perspective that it has taught me that home is anywhere I am as long as I make it so.

We’ve lived in places we liked, loved and loathed and I know we have at least a few more moves in the near future. I am excited to share my favourite lessons of apartments in my past and my current journey of finding my dream home.

XO,

Grace
